Auckland to Brisbane

From lively Auckland, we head along the east coast of North Island to the historic harbor of Tauranga, then Napier to see its Art Deco treasures and the statue of Pania, a character from Maori mythology. Wellington, the country's bustling modern capital, brings our tour of North Island to a close as we cross to South Island. Here, we visit Lyttelton, a gateway to Christchurch, and Port Chalmers for Dunedin before we embrace nature with three days cruising in spectacular surroundings: first Dusky Fjord, then Doubtful and Milford Sounds. Two sea days take us to Australia: first to Melbourne for an overnight, and then Sydney for culture, iconic sights, and beaches at Bondi. In Newcastle, you can raise a glass to the talented winemakers in the nearby vineyards of the Hunter Valley, before another day at sea guides us along the east coast to the exciting city of Brisbane, our final port.
